Katherine lives and breathes education. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Biology from Acadia University, a Bachelor of Education and a Masters of Education Technology from the University of British Columbia. Katherine has worked in education in some capacity for her entire adult life. Beginning as a Teacher’s Assistant during her undergraduate degree, Katherine helped develop online curricula for Acadia University. As a student at Acadia, Katherine worked for the Acadia Institute of Teaching and Technology (AITT) helping professors use technology effectively in their classrooms. After university, Katherine oversaw a K-12 after school learning academy, where she acted as not only the administrator of the centre, but also as the principle program designer. This role included supporting students with a variety of individual learning needs, and creating specialized academic programs for all content areas. She went on to pursue teaching in the public sector for many years, specializing in high school math and sciences. Katherine has worked as a curricular design consultant for large international e-learning companies as well as smaller start-up initiatives. She is passionate about student centered learning and her extensive experience and impressive qualifications will lead ConstructWithUs to success.
